Trolls put people on their ignore list when they can't answer the questions presented to them, or the facts that contradict their opinion, and then they go on acting as if nothing ever happened because they no longer have to see what they don't like.

Can such a system be put in place so the administrators can independently review ignore listings and reverse such actions to the participants have to proceed in an honest fashion?
I've put two people on the ignore list because they cannot refute my proofs or argue like adults with intelligent discussion. They almost immeditaltey either go to abusive language or; almost worse, they resort to circular arguing that really is more like trolling than anything else. One other is on ignore because I believe this individual to be a sock who has sent me harrassing PMs.

The ignore list has a purpose and admin has done nothing with the abusive right-wingers after several appeals to have them policed with a little more scrutiny.

I have a little information about it but not 100% sure. I would have search more sources in order to get original information.
