Teen Shoots Father, Mother, Sister After Losing Computer Privileges

"Jason C. Hendrix, 16, is believed to have shot and killed his mother, father and sister after a dispute with his parents over computer use before driving from Corbin to the East Coast, where he was killed in a shootout with police in Maryland, Corbin police Chief David Campbell said Sunday."

But I thought an armed society was a polite society..... oops.

Note that the incident occurred in the state of Maryland. And the state of Maryland is no slouch when it comes to strictly regulating firearm purchases and ownership.

If one cannot have an argument without resorting to hyperbole, name calling and emotional rhetoric, then they have lost the argument from their first post.

Owning a gun always involves a certain amount of risk no matter how many laws there are.

Has everyone left this forum? I found another one that appears to be much more active.

True the article says computer privileges, but that's about as far as it goes. And what was with the welfare check the cops were doing? He mentioned guns at church maybe? Not condoning in anyway what he did but also not jumping conclusions either.
As far as where is everyone? They'll be back. P.S. maybe I'll look at that forum. Might already be a member.

You are right, it is much more active than this one, this forum is catatonic. However, quantity and quality are not synonymous.
This forum in its halcyon days had quantity and quality; alas, those days are long gone. I check in once in awhile always expecting to find this old forum gone. By the way, the forum you mentioned above asks for donations from its members this is why most members sport the label 'donor'.

Forums are the last refuge of those who mistakenly believe that their opinions matter. I was once one of those I admit.

Yeah, I saw your name over there. I LOL'ed.

I've been posting there since 2008 (under a different name).

The fact is, reasoned, civilized discussion on the topic of gun control / gun rights can not be found anymore (and I drop-in and look at 18-24 forums a week).

I have enjoyed debating gun rights vs gun control since 1993.

The left has gone from reasoned debate in the 90's, (of course the "climate" was much more agreeable for them then), to moderately frustrated argument focused on a new, "conditioned individual right" in the 2000's, to now . . . Arguing the Constitution just doesn't matter anymore.

Oh God, still so obsessed with forums

Why don't you pop in at the Economist blogs and do your bit for the fatherland. But warned narcissists don't last for long there.

So now you are at The Economist I am sure (knowing so well your obsession with forums and blogs ) that you must be posting your inane comments in many other places as well.

    Thanks, but no thanks
