Intelligent Design :A Piece of the Puzzle.

Imagine walking along a beach one day when you discover a small, round, gold object on the sand. You pick it up to discover the object is flat.

One side has tiny numbers and two pointers on it, one smaller than the other. You look closer and realize the pointers move around the numbers and there is a ticking sound coming from the object. Finally, you notice that the numbers seem to match the time of day.

It looks like you found a pocket watch, doesn’t it? Well, you could think, “Gee, this object must have taken millions of years of sand, water and wind bumping pieces into each other to get put together.”

I suppose you could imagine this…

    Ingredients? Oh just some dirt...

Anyway, you might imagine a piece of metal being pushed along by a stream until it bumps into two tiny sticks. You could imagine years and years of tiny accidents banging into the piece of metal until tiny marks that look like numbers get scratched into the surface.

But there are a few problems with this idea…

•Inside the pocket watch, you find dozens of complicated gears, springs and coils.

•The complicated gears, springs and coils move the pointers.

•The pointers and the numbers all match the time of day. It appears that the pocket watch has a purpose – to tell the time of day.

It seems that imagining this object could have come about by the accidental shifting of sand, water and wind is pretty silly. Even if you wanted to believe it, no one has ever seen something as complicated as a pocket watch get built by accident.

Obviously, all of these parts had to be put together on purpose or the pocket watch would not work.

This is called “design” - complicated, connected pieces put together for a purpose.

It's just one piece of the puzzle in Intelligent Design Theory.

Scientific illiteracy at it's best and, as usual with manolete, plagiarised..... this time from this scientifically illiterate Bible apologist site.

Without a belief in GOD ,what does that make of man?

Ever try to define human consciousness and its origens and purpose?

It can't be done without first admitting the existence of GOD!

Without a belief in the light side and the dark side, what does that make of man?

Ever try to define human consciousness and its origens and purpose?

It can't be done with first admitting the existence of THE FORCE!

Fighting God's TRUTH is fighting Man's right to live.

Atheism is simply the desire to revert back to a form of bestial vegetation ,where life was simple and required little intellectual effort.

Living for the moment is the first step towards eventual human annihilation.

Without a belief in the Almighty there can be no sense of the sacred ,and holy.

And without this guiding principle man's mission on planet earth would be regarded as finished.

atheists have always been a minority in the world. bertrand Russel is an example of a homo who rejected the God belief because it was incompatable to his perversions.

So have Christians ...and as people come to their senses they are fortunately getting even smaller whilst atheism is growing. Go figure!

I think that Manolete worships Allah, a god that was invented around the turn of the 7th century. This god is noted for intolerance and extreme violence towards anyone who disagrees, quite similar to the Christian god that was invented some 7 centuries previously.
From The Treaty of Tripoli, Art. 11, negociated under Washington, passed unanimously by the senate, and signed by Adams -- "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion;"
