Gay Marriage - Unable to Move Back Home

I was born in Lubbock, Texas. I am an American citizen, but was forced to move to the United Kingdom when I was 14 with my English mother.

I happened to fall in love with someone of the same-sex while living here, who is a British citizen and although I am desperate to move back home, I can't leave my partner, and under current law, as it stands, there is no way for us to move back together.

Is this fair? Should it only be if I fall in love with someone of the opposite sex?

America is still progressing. It's not there yet, but I hope we reach the milestone for gay marriage soon.

It's not fair but it is the way it is. Hopefully someday soon it will change! Best of luck.

I am pretty sure you can move now. Have a look at this link.
