    The Evangelical Vote

Ralph Reed: 17 Million Evangelical Votes Can Lead to Obama's Defeat

Some 17 million Evangelicals failed to vote in 2008 when Democrat Barack Obama beat the GOP's John McCain — and now the fight is on to get them there this November, Faith and Freedom Coalition founder Ralph Reed says.

And the coalition's conference going on in Washington, D.C., this weekend is a training ground to get that vote out, he told Newsmax.TV in an exclusive interview.

GOP leaders including Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich are addressing the conference this weekend as they try to ensure a high turnout namong Evangelicals, Catholics, conservative Independents and tea party supporters.

“We had, in 2008, about 17 million self-identified Evangelicals who didn’t go to polls either because they weren’t registered to vote or because they were registered but they didn’t bother,” Reed said.

And we don’t know if we can get all 17 million of them to go to the polls, but we can get millions of them registered to vote and turned out."

I can almost hear Santorum speaking at the pulpit now: "we know you didn't turn out in 2008 to stop darkie from becoming president...now look what happened...the rich are in danger of being slightly less rich, and the middle class is being destroyed much more slowly than it had been while Bush was in office. This is your fault. We know you failed to show up to vote for christian war hero McCain and his tea party darling sidekick caribou barbie who mentioned god in every third sentence, so this time we offer a fat-cat flip-flopping executive hustler who is just itching to finish off the middle class and complete the transfer of wealth to the rich. Oh...and he's a Mormon. So please come out and vote for Mitt and Marco...the rich can't afford to wait another 4 years."

Personally, I wish neither Obama or Romney had any realistic chance of winning the presidency since they both suck...but given the ultimate choice of seeing one over another, I would rather see Obama...just to watch you cry for another 4 years.

Obama sucks worse than anyone else left in a given room. Only imbeciles would continue to vote for him.

He didn't need your vote in 2008 and he won't need your vote in 2012.... But he will still be YOUR president ....

On election day Obama's going down faster than a high school cheerleader. And you won't have to like it.

I'll bet you any amount of money you like that I didn't vote for him.

And my apology to all the imbeciles out there. For me to suggest that Easy was one of your kind must have been extremely insulting to you. Again, my apologies.

Only imbiciles can't see that Obama and Romney are essentially the same, and that it doesn't matter one bit which one wins in November.

If you think Romney is some magical piper that will lead us to prosperity, you are incapable of thinking. If you think Obama can do it...you are incapable of learning.

I think Romney has a better shot at being more fiscally responsible that that imbecile Obama.
