    Appeal ignore listings?

Is it possible to institute an appeals system for when someone is added to an ignore list? Trolls put people on their ignore list when they can't answer the questions presented to them, or the facts that contradict their opinion, and then they go on acting as if nothing ever happened because they no longer have to see what they don't like.

Can such a system be put in place so the administrators can independently review ignore listings and reverse such actions to the participants have to proceed in an honest fashion?

I think the only option may be to turn the ignore feature on or off.

Can we see about turning the ignore option off? I believe it detracts from an honest and open debate setting, allowing those with insufficient skills to simply blank out people they can't honestly discuss matters with.

As it is now anytime some troll decides to arbitrarily ignore us, we're forced to come back under a new alias to confront them on their shortcomings and foolishness.

Oh, totalitarianism. Not surprising. You want to force people to read your nonsense. I'd leave here before I tolerate such blatant abuse of my rights as a forum member and poster. Insane.

As a forum member you possess no rights. You only have the privileges that the board administrators see fit to bestow on you.

Besides your name wasn't mentioned anywhere in here. It's not like you're being singled out for abuse for your beliefs.

If I get enough complaints about it, I will turn it off.

Oh, please. You and I both know, that your initiative was all about me.
Folks are so adamant about me paying attention to all of your nonsense.
    I'm just not having it.

Is this an admission of sock puppetry?

If those who lace every post with personal attacks are never to be banned, despite constantly violating the "rules", then I say leave the ignore feature as is.

Another solution: If you know a poster is a dink - don't read their posts.

Who the hell is forcing you to read anything??? If you don't like something someone says, don't read what they write ever again. Nobody is forcing you. The ignore feature is not a right. It's a feature. You have the right to not read something someone posts. If this feature is removed, your rights (lol) are not disturbed.

I think the ignore feature should stay (although I don't use it myself). It's a handy little thing in case an annoying little twerp shows up.

Yes, and it appears that a year later this troll is still playing the same games.
