    The Truth About Aspartame

'If it says "Sugar Free" on the label--do not even think about eating it!!!! If you are using Aspartame (Nutra-Sweet, Equal) and you suffer from fibromyalgia symptoms, spasms, shooting pains, numbness in your legs, cramps, vertigo, dizziness, headaches, tinnitus, joint pain, depression, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, blurred vision, or memory loss--you probably have Aspartame Disease! There are 92 documented symptoms of Aspartame, from coma to death. The majority of them are all neurological, because Aspartame destroys the nervous system. There is absolutely no reason to take this product. The Congressional Record said, "It makes you crave carbohydrates and will make you FAT." The formaldehyde stores in the fat cells, particularly in the hips and thighs. There are now over 5,000 products containing this chemical--it is now available in 90 plus countries worldwide--and the patent has expired!!!'

That's really true. If studies has proven that aspartame can no good to our body then why can't they stop the production of products that contains aspartame. The advertisement of diet sodas is everywhere and in fact are very convincing but people are not aware of its ingredients and continue to patronize it not knowing that it could kill them in the end.

Depressed people who doesn't want to get fat but want to relieve the sadness end up eating sugar free chocolates. That's the problem with us, we eat whatever is available without getting any information on its content, we always have an option - instead of sugar free chocolates, why not go for dark chocolate which is more healthy according to pureandhealthy.com blog

Our government should act on this.

As a former serious abuser of the stuff, I'll say that the only bad effects are still wanting high energy food and possibly worsening of depression. The more extreme ones seem made up.

Several reasons - Politics and money being the two main reasons.
I read somewhere that artificial sweeteners are much cheaper to manufacture than the real stuff...and it is ridiculously sweeter than real sugar.

Personally, I avoid artificial sweeteners like the plague. If I crave something sweet, I buy the real thing - and consume very little. Your chocolate suggestion is a good one. I bought a bar of dark baking chocolate once and it was very good...and a tiny piece satisfied my craving.

    Aspartame is fine for you.

This BS has been debunked so many times it is embarrassing that anyone still believes it.

In the USA that means 15-20,000 individuals out of 310M population. They are all aware of their condition, having been screened at birth. There's not much risk there.

Aspartame IS a sweetener, and every grain of sugar counts to the total calorie count.

I know aspartame is a sweetener but there is more than one type of sweetener I believe.
I also know that every grain of sugar counts to the total calorie count, just as every fragment of fat and starch does..so what?
