    Oprah Winfrey's Paganism

The “Queen of Talk” is without question Oprah Winfrey. She has risen to the pinnacle of the programs that are deemed to help their listeners deal with the “everydayness” of life. Oprah has literally built an empire that her counterparts can only look at and shake their cumulative heads over.

Oprah is not only an effective communicator, but she is also an effective evangelist for Postmodernism, a world view that allows the individual to accept truth on his own terms as it relates to his experience and his comfort quotient. As a result, she has become an international spiritual leader in her own right.

Oprah has evolved in recent years to become the leading spokesperson regarding New Age philosophy. She has likewise evolved in her thinking regarding the source of truth. She makes this comment in defense of her newly discovered path to enlightenment, “Funny thing about truth: It’s something that lives deep within us, as surely as if it were written into the genetic code . . . when we pursue truth, we are searching for the universal. A Hindu principle teaches us, ‘Truth is one, paths are many.’ Which way is yours?

Oprah’s former pastor makes a telling observation regarding Oprah’s transformation. In an interview with Christianity Today magazine he said, She has broken with the [traditional faith],” he says. “She now has a sort of ‘God is everywhere, God is in me, I don’t need to go to church, I don’t need to be a part of the body of believers, I can meditate, I can do positive thinking’ spirituality. It’s a strange gospel. It has nothing to do with the church Jesus Christ founded.”

“For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries.” - Robert Jastrow

And do you have a point with this venting and garbage, other than you love to slam black people?

It's typical of you liberal turkeys to play the race card at every turn. You can't address the real issues so you cry racism. That's how intellectually challenged you radicals are.

Are you black? I'm an equal opportunity slammer when it comes to those who do the work of the devil (which includes you, Accipiter, Oprah, Obama, and all the white liberal heathens who deny Christ and call good, evil).

So dry up with your sophomoric drivel.

Yet, when you devote a thread to starting about the 'evils' of any celebrity , it's most often a black person.

I wonder if you really are that self unaware.

You liberals are the real racists, and you don't even know it in many cases.

Are the racists those conservatives who hold everyone accountable to the same standards? Who believe that people should be judged by their character and their behavior, not their race, creed, or color?

Or are the racists those white liberals who treat Obama like some delicate flower? While liberals still eviscerate George W. Bush, any judgment of Obama is off limits.

It's not just whites who are enabling Obama by acting like his protectors. Blacks voted en masse for Obama. Sadly, what has he offered them?

From the start, it was obvious that Obama, though half-black, had never done anything for the black community. In Chicago, his actions hurt blacks.

Obama was a huge supporter of Tony Rezko, a notorious slumlord, now a felon. When Obama served in the state senate, black residents picketed Rezko's offices to protest their rat-infested, unheated apartments.

And what has Obama done to help blacks since he's been president? One of Obama's first actions as president was eliminating the DC school voucher program that offered poor black kids the chance for a better life.

Obama and the Democrats have created record debt and crushed the economy. A depressed economy hits minority groups especially hard.

And then there is Obama's push for amnesty for illegals. How is giving jobs to millions of illegals going to help blacks, who have unconscionably high unemployment rates?

But there is one perk Obama has afforded the black underclass -- the right to behave brutally. Obama's Justice Department dropped charges for those New Black Panthers who allegedly threatened and harassed people at election sites.

This encouragement to act out is deeply cynical and manipulative. It's designed to control racial minorities and promote social unrest.

You're nuts. The liberals are the ones who have the blacks on their government "plantation." Vote for the liberals and you get free stuff.

That's the Obama Plantation, alright. Just wallow at the trough of Obama government handouts.
