| Yes. As long as the candidate I vote for wins, it matters not how much he disagrees with me. If the candidate I vote for loses, it matters not how much he agrees with me. |

| Yes. Even if major party candidate A opposes 98% of my views, as long as major party candidate B opposes 99% my views, a vote for candidate A is not a wasted vote, while a vote for a 3rd party candidate IS a wasted vote, even if he supports all my views. |

| No. An election is NOT a horse race. If the candidate I vote for supports the policies to which I'm most opposed, then even if he wins, in terms of having my views represented--which is the whole point of voting in the first place--I still LOSE. |

By the topic title I thought the term "horse race" meant that it was just a scramble to the finish line. Whoever suckers more voters (or more voting machine companies) wins and it doesn't really matter who it is that wins.
