Yes. As long as the candidate I vote for wins, it matters not how much he disagrees with me. If the candidate I vote for loses, it matters not how much he agrees with me. 0 0%
Yes. Even if major party candidate A opposes 98% of my views, as long as major party candidate B opposes 99% my views, a vote for candidate A is not a wasted vote, while a vote for a 3rd party candidate IS a wasted vote, even if he supports all my views. 0 0%
No. An election is NOT a horse race. If the candidate I vote for supports the policies to which I'm most opposed, then even if he wins, in terms of having my views represented--which is the whole point of voting in the first place--I still LOSE. 1 100.00%

By the topic title I thought the term "horse race" meant that it was just a scramble to the finish line. Whoever suckers more voters (or more voting machine companies) wins and it doesn't really matter who it is that wins.

By the title and the references to Kerry face being long like a horses, I was thinking of Kerry and Bush giving each other "pony rides"

Orthodox Judaism, not to mention other religions: there is a small number of men who know the detailed truth; the masses are told what they need to know and no more
