Earning Less to Benefit the Rich
Give it up, working clot. You have to work for nothing so that the super, super rich can have their yachts and 20 homes and a dozen cars while you live in a teeny, tiny closet and walk or take a bus.
The top 0.1% of U.S. earners grabbed more than 10% of U.S. personal income (including capital gains), and the top 1% grabbed more than 20% (in 2008, the lastest year figures are available), the June 21, 2011, Seattle Times reported. The big earners are executives and managers (even in boring areas like the milk business). Since 1970, executive pay has increased 430%, far above a 250% increase U.S. corporate profits -- and wildly above the 26% increase in wages for ordinary workers.
A dozen U.S. businesses -- with profits of $171 billion over the past three years -- paid a NEGATIVE $2.5 billion in federal taxes. Boeing had $9.7 billion in profts over this 2008-10 period and had a total federal tax rate of -1.8 percent. In the decade ending in 21010, Boeing's profits were $29 billion, yet it paid MINUS $948 million in federal taxes, according to the July 3, 2011 Seattle Times' Danny Westneat (citing a Citizens for Tax Justice study).
Haves and have nots: America's rich get richer
And what is even worse we working clots have to pay more taxes because the super, super rich lazy welfare bums don't even begin to pay their fair share of taxes.

And right you are again. Here's more:
Major U.S. Corporations Squeezing Even More Money Out Of Employees
S&P 500 companies made an average $420,000 in revenue per employee last year, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis. Yet even though that's a full ninth more than in 2007, companies remain hesitant to hire new workers.

Their fair share is zero.

This is a pretty good example right here.

Has anyone here ever made you regard you own opinion as ridiculous?

Unless you count religion as my opinion because I was raised to it, no.

I cannot imagine a more uninformed dialogue or a non-factual web site.
Of course this makes the Liberals feel all warm and fuzzy inside that they care more than anyone else for the working man; meanwhile, their political ideology as expressed by a XXXXX like Obama has done more to destroy the Middle Class and job creation than any administration in history.
Roosevelt would have exceeded Obama but his inept Presidency which resulted in the massive successful surprise attack on Pearl Harbor and subsequent declaration of war got him out of the inept liberal policies he implemented which were making the economy worse.
When it comes to Liberals; facts are unimportant and the first casualties when it comes to their feel-good-failure-filled political ideology.
The notion that you can tax your way to prosperity is a fool’s policy.
The notion that you can create a massive dependent class of citizen making them wards of the State and this will improve their lives is a fool’s policy.
History is littered with the class envy failures of Liberal/Socialist ideology. Europe’s and Asias experiments in massive Government are slowly collapsing under the weight of massive deficits and debt and they are desperately trying to deal with it to preserve their precious Euro.
How anyone with even half a brain can think like Obama does, that taxing businesses won’t be passed onto the consumer and further burden them with higher costs is beyond me.
How anyone with even half a brain can think that the Federal Government can provide for individuals and not erode our liberties is beyond me.
Why would ANYONE place their faith in bigger Government, Higher Taxes and erosion of our liberties and freedoms is beyond me.
The irony and hypocrisy of Liberal group think is that they are all for BIGGER Government and MASSIVE deficit spending when THEIR guys are in charge; when it was Bush, Government was not to be trusted and to be regarded in fear.
Here are some facts for you:
Under our “progressive” tax system, the more money you make, the higher the income tax rates you will have to pay. Here is a breakdown of the percentage of federal income tax collected, by income group, as calculated from Internal Revenue Service statistics for 2007 adjusted gross income.
Wealthiest Americans pay bulk of federal income tax collected | cleveland.com
Here's a look at individual tax rates and shares by income in 2007, the most recent data available from the Internal Revenue Service:
•The top 1 percent: Americans who earned an adjusted gross income of $410,096 or more accounted for 22.8 percent of all wages. But they paid 40.4 percent of total reported income taxes, an increase from 39.9 percent in 2006, according to the IRS.
•The top 5 percent: Americans who earned $160,041 or more accounted for 37.4 percent of all wages in 2007. But they paid 60.6 percent of the country's total reported income taxes, up from 60.1 percent a year earlier.
•The top 10 percent: Americans who earned at least $113,018 paid 71.2 percent of the nation's income taxes, up from 70.8 percent a year earlier.
•The top 25 percent: Americans who earned at least $66,532 paid 86.6 percent of the nation's income taxes, up from 86.3 percent a year earlier.
•The top 50 percent: Americans who earned at least $32,879 paid 97.1 percent of the nation's income taxes, up from 97 percent a year earlier.
•The bottom 50 percent: Americans who earned less than $32,879 paid 2.9 percent of the nation's income taxes, down from 3 percent a year earlier.

So what about Obamas feckless "Buffet Rule" and his idiot claims that Buffet pays less than his secretary, an outright lie?
Here are the facts:
How Much Revenue Would The “Buffett Rule” Bring In? Not Much At All
As you can see, the short answer is: some, but not enough to make a dent in the deficit. If you put a floor at their current marginal tax rate of 35%, the government would obtain $37 billion more dollars. That might sound like a lot, but it amounts to just 2.5% of the 2009 $1.5 trillion deficit (which is the red line shown). If you increase the floor to the pre-Bush-tax-cut marginal rate of 39.6%, the additional revenue grows a bit — to $66 billion, or 4.5% of the year’s deficit.
Even if you get really aggressive, it doesn’t help much. Even a tax floor for these individuals at 75% would cover less than 20% of the year’s deficit. And, of course, even most populist among us probably worries that a tax rate that high could do more harm to the U.S. economy than good. All of these calculations also assume that these wealthy individuals wouldn’t find new and creative ways to ensure that their income was shielded from very high tax rates. (They would.)
So this Buffet Rule is a great populist proposal if the president wants to score some political points, but it has little practical value.
How Much Revenue Would The “Buffett Rule” Bring In? Not Much At All
In other words, this is nothing more than more of the empty feckless partisan class envy BS Obama is known for. Avoid the real issues and problems he has created and point your finger at everyone else.
Obama is the single worst President this nation has known and the sooner America dumps this buttclown the better off we will be.
When I see goofy posts like this one, I can see how someone as dumb and inexperienced as Obama can get elected; because it makes the dumb feel good.

So I think what truth detector is saying, is that maybe the tax brackets (which claim that rich people owe more money) are actually being carried out despite the dastardly plans of big corporation lobbyist... who would have imagined that.

Wealth disparity is primarily a function of political interference with the market, especially central creation of money and credit.
Until the left stands up for abolishing the federal reserve they have no moral authority to complain about financial disparity.
Of course, the left has no actual interest in standing up to the Fed, because if ever they are forced to choose between equality and government, they choose big government every time.
He or she who supports a State organized in a military way – whether directly or indirectly – participates in sin. Each man takes part in the sin by contributing to the maintenance of the State by paying taxes.

Yes, as far as income tax goes...
The putative "truth teller" is correct in its claim that the wealthy pay the largest amount of income tax.
After all, they hog up most of the income.
But not sales taxes.
Not real estate taxes.
Not the hidden taxes.
Licensing fees, other public costs, no.

The ability to buy goods creates jobs. Demand for goods creates jobs. People who work for a living usually spend almost all of their money on goods because they have to, they do not have enough income to salt it away in a Swiss bank account like the very wealthy do, the very wealthy who create wealth solely for themselves by shuffling paper around, no jobs for others.

If shuffling paper did not create wealth I suggest people would not pay them to do it.
