Logical and calculating
No country has a history devoid of atrocities committed against others and its own people. However what must be looked at is whether or not the atrocities are freely continuing in the present.
Currently various countries in the Middle East still forbid women from obtaining an education, oppose the equality and freedom of women in general, execute individuals for any blasphemous statement against Mohammad, and recruit children, the elderly, mentally challenged and animals to use for suicide bombers. There is also the matter of women being incapable of seeking justice for rape because they can be charged for adultery, an offense punishable by death.
If one cannot have an argument without resorting to hyperbole, name calling and emotional rhetoric, then they have lost the argument from their first post.

There are a number of problems with the list. First, it suggests that bases in Kyrgyzstan help"surround" Iran. It then lists the same facility in Manas THREE TIMES.
It is also questionable to refer to land force Forward Operating Bases in Afghanistan as "surrounding Iran" as it is hard to see how a battalion of Land-locked Soldiers are going to hitch hike to Iran without air assets.
Further, the list makes no effort to differentiate between actual bases (Bagram Airfield), and the much smaller combat out posts. Does a contingent of Marines at an airport in Saudi render that airport a base? It would appear so according to this report.
Be that as it may, applying the same logic, one might infer that the National Guard has the state of Georgia surrounded as it has more than 179 armories and facilities within that State.
