Then how do you know about it to mention it? If we've "arleady(sic)" forgotten 9/11 then how would anyone remember to mention it? How do you know about it if we've forgotten it? How do I know about it if we've forgotten it? Please, do not make such nonsensical assertions.

You answer me with a conspiracy theory? I won't even bother to ask for evidence because none exists.

There is well documented evidence about how Bush and his cronies wanted an excuse to invade Iraq. Try this article. It is also a well documented fact that the majority of the terrorists involved in the hijacking were Saudi nationals. Here's an article on that one. Not one of them was from Iraq. So, don't come out with this BS about there being no evidence. You just don't want to see it. Smiley |

You had no point, it was reflecting your evasive tactic.

Whether we "started" the "war on terror" (if we are going to pretend that you can declare "war" on a battle tactic) is a stickier question. We did not really perform a military attack on anybody, but we ARE absolutely and without question directly responsible for the death and oppression of literally millions of people in the middle east. The "on terror" is blowback from that. So, we would argue that we did not start the war, because we never carried out a military attack on our enemies. They would argue that our complicity in the death of so many of their people was an act of war, whether we used our military or not. Who is right on that count?? Frankly that is a meaningless philosophical question. From a purely practical standpoint it does not matter. From a technical standpoint, there is no war. One nation cannot legally declare war on a broad class of people...they have to declare war on a nation.
