The ides of April
April is an eerie time of the year. 16 years ago this month, Martin Bryant opened fire at historic Port Arthur in Tasmania, Australia, killing 35 people and wounding 18 others. April also marks the anniversaries of the Columbine massacre of April 20, 1999 in the USA, where 13 people were killed and at least 21 injured, and now Oakland’s Oikos University massacre, which happened 2 weeks ago, in which 7 were killed and 3 injured.
Timing is not the only factor these atrocities have in common: the other is the use of semi-automatic weapons.
After Port Arthur, Australia banned semi-automatic rifles and shotguns but did not extend the ban to semi-automatic handguns. A pity for now criminals have easy access to semi-automatic guns.
As a Police officer said recently in Sydney: "The easy legal access to handguns makes it easy for those guns to end in the hands of criminals"

Where is your source and documentation?
What commonalities does an event in Australia share with the United States?

Instead of banning guns maybe the US should just ban April
Richard Dawkins quote..
.'I dont think its a very important question whether Jesus existed. Some historians.. MOST historians think he did.
I dont really care, precisely because its petty. Maybe I've alluded to the possibilty that some historians think Jesus never existed. I take that back Jesus existed........

I don't see what the banning of semi-auto has to do with anything at all, especially a shotgun(take a pump any day).
