At least photographers use real women, but hentai is worse. Photo porn isn't as bad, because what the model (who actually exists, by the way) can do on camera is bound by law and her physical appearance. But artists are more creative, and their women can look like however the artist wants them to look. Hentai can express the most morbid fantasies from the perverted, twisted mind of a hentai artist. Images depicting gorey deaths, rape, sadistic fantasies, death, or pedophilia can be published and veiwed by people across an entire nation. And while some contries censor it more than others, every picture can be displayed somewhere.

If you have a real, underaged model who you lacerate, rape, mutilate, and kill, you go to prison and, as sex offenders aren't particulary liked in prisons, you probably end up being someone's bitch. But fake guys can't be punished for fake women, and a hentai artist can publish his work in some places across the globe. I don't think it should be banned, but it's a vile, disgusting thing and whoever looks at it, I don't want them near my family.

Chalk it up to different taste. I find porn mostly boring because 99% of the time you can tell its fake and the actors are pretending. At least with hentai it knows its fake and doesn't try to pretend.

Wait so to the person who says this influences behavior does that mean that some studies show because I happen to enjoy playing Kichiku Megane as Megane Katsuya that I'm more likely to rape someone?

Granted I love the game but even I can admit that Megane has his sick and twisted moments. (Like raping Mido until he literally shuts his brain down to stop having to deal with Megane's mind rape and actual rape).

Also: The guy is the main character and yet when he does something totally twisted I still find it a little sick. (and quite frankly disturbing) doesn't stop me from playing though. The game rocks. The problem with porn is that it sets the bar far too high for women. Like maybe a guy is having sex for the first time and he's been watching porn his whole life and then is disapointed she wasn't screaming, talking dirty, or having an orgasm every five seconds.

With my first long term boyfriend/sexual relationship of course I loved him or felt that I did, and he would always ask me to do things I felt really silly or uncomfortable doing. I didn't want to do it exactly but I felt like I wouldn't live up to... um... professionals he always watched. It took the joy out of sex because everytime I felt like I was doing this or saying this because some pornstar did it and he really liked that. I felt like he was pretending I was them. I can't help but blame porn because what he would ask me to say or do is like a cheesy porn script and he watched so much of it so I just knew.

Thats why I feel negativaly towards porn.

P.S. Almost forgot myself here: it's not just porn setting up standards too high. Mainstream media and advertising do the same all the time to the perception of what the partner we look for should be - just not necessarily regarding sexual practices.
