Nader to run for president again

WASHINGTON (AP) - Ralph Nader said Sunday he will run for president as a third-party candidate, criticizing the top White House contenders as too close to big business and pledging to repeat a bid that will "shift the power from the few to the many."
Nader, 73, said most people are disenchanted with the Democratic and Republican parties due to a prolonged Iraq war and a shaky economy. The consumer advocate also blamed tax and other corporate-friendly policies under the Bush administration that he said have left many lower- and middle-class people in debt.
"You take that framework of people feeling locked out, shut out, marginalized and disrespected," he said. "You go from Iraq, to Palestine to Israel, from Enron to Wall Street, from Katrina to the bumbling of the Bush administration, to the complicity of the Democrats in not stopping him on the war, stopping him on the tax cuts."
"In that context, I have decided to run for president," Nader told NBC's "Meet the Press."

Thank goodness for perennials and the American right to choose, thank you. I may support Nader if Clinton doesn't win the nomination.
The photograph of this repugnant and dishonest BHO advertisement in Ohio is just one more example why:

When it comes to healthcare, BHO is a Republican in Democrat's clothing.
Oh, and quit yer bellyachin' 'bout Florida and Al Gore, Obamarama Land Fans. You can just as easily blame the NRA going door-to-door in Tennessee and some other places.
Or why don't you just blame your candidate and his ardent campaign staff for the people he's been leaving by the roadside in his campaign numbers game?
Will your leader and his followers not be accountable for anything?
At what price Obama?

I guess that seals the deal for McCain, huh?
Maybe Nader is paid by the Republican party?

Methinks we just live in a more diverse nation than sometimes desired.
Oh well. That's how the cookie crumbles.
-
Dr. No,
Do you think this man is paid by the Republican Party too?

And BTW, does BHO ever take off that suit?

I think I'll just stick to issues, like healthcare, on who's a Republican and who's not.
Certainly Mrs. Clinton has a long and reputable Democratic record on fighting for everyday Americans there.

That's who I want as the next President of the United States.

Well, this is one everyday american who works hard and EARNS his insurance. Guess who is going to be footing the bill for the 10's of millions without insurance? Yep...me. Socialized medicine is not all it's cracked up to be.

How much is your "socialized medicine" bill going to be, snakespit? And, just to further demonstrate how well informed you are on this subject, also share ... how your present coverage shall compare.
Bassman, feel free to demonstrate your know-how, too.

You pay anyway:
More than 47 million Americans are uninsured. 80 percent come from working families. 20 percent are children.
The United States spends nearly $100 billion to provide uninsured patients with health services, often for preventable diseases or diseases more efficiently treated with early diagnoses. This burden is shouldered by everyone.

Personal experiences with the American health care system:

It is a disgrace that the wealthiest country on earth does not have universal health care. Stands alone in that characteristic among all the wealthy, industrialized nations. Shoveling lives and dollars down the drain while doing so.

Reporters don't have to be impartial or cover the issues anymore:

Nor does Obama.

I don't need links and charts to tell you that the bottom line is I will be paying more than I am now to get the same coverage since I will be helping to pay the subsidy for the currently uninsured.
It's welfare on steroids, and we all know that the welfare system has never been abused.

So you don't have a problem with the government controlling every aspect of your healthcare? You believe eliminating competition in health services is a good idea?
How about mandatory psychiatric evaluations, performed by the government? That sounds like a wonderful idea. What is your recourse when some government funded doctor declares you need to be medicated because you have some sort of mental "disease?"
Call me cynical, but anytime a politician promises something to benefit everyone in the country, I don't buy it. Somebody has to pay. Remember everything the Democrats promised if they won back Congress? What have they done? They approved MORE MONEY for the Iraq war after they promised to start bringing troops home. Anything a politician promises that sounds like a good idea is just a vote buyer. There is no real intention of following through.
