The Ant and the Grasshopper
The following e-mail was sent to me by a friend, so I decided to share it here:

Unless the Republicans stop bitching and pull themselves away from the lunatic brigade, and the Democrats stop being cowards I don't think I'll be voting in 2010.... First time since I turned 18. I take that back if the repeal for prop 8 goes into effect I'll vote but only for it's repeal...

The left lost the ability, use logic or know what truth is with the embrace of moral relativism. Thus you get moral equivalence between acts like detaining terrorists and cutting off heads of innocents. If lawmakers and anti-gun groups were serious about reducing or ending gun crimes, they would turn their wrath toward the criminals. As it is, their efforts are not the solution to gun crimes they are part of the problem. Even if you gave liberals the answers on an ethics exam, they’d fail. |

Because they DON'T DO ANYTHING!!!! They XXXX away a majority vote by bickering amongst themselves.... it's ridiculous...

Ants are, essentially, communistic. Try again, so-called "Sartre."

The ant and the grasshopper was one of Aesops fables.
It was not supposed to be taken literally

It served well in its time when our present-day scientific knowledge was not available.
It does not serve now.

So you think that they thought foxes ate grapes and tortoises raced hares in Aesops time?

No, I don't think that. But, I must say I have little respect for your thinking process.

You are the one that took an Aesop fable literally, then suggested that our present scientific knowledge had some bearing on its relevence.I may have some respect for your thinking process if I found some evidence that it exists.

Oh fool! One does not take the Tales of Aesop literally! They serve as a rude tool for teaching values.
But the values exhibited in the Tale of the Ant and Grasshopper are groundless.

It is one thing to work hard on behalf of oneself and on behalf of one's family. Quite another thing it is to work mindlessly like a communistic worker ant on behalf of the uncaring corporation.
