Clerisian, learn from my mistake. No one here (okay most people) don't know and don't care about fallacies. A large amount don't even care that they are using fradulent methods.

You are correct Duo: I'd only modify your post a bit by saying that at least some people don't know they're using fraudulent methods.

I pritned out a copy of all the fallacies and my friends read them. Then everyday during class and lunch, we would insult each other using them, mostly using loaded questions. Jeez, we're all a bunch nerds.

Alan Ryan's got a point. Many people on these boards seem to be genuinely unaware that they lack critical thinking skills. I think the real puzzle is breaking it to these people.

Knowledge of self ignorance can be fixed from the outside. Ignorance of self ignorance cannot.

Sure I know I'm acting in pretty childish ways here, mainly cause I can't do that on several other forums, and frankly, it is amusing to beat the other side at their own game. Of course, do they know that they are doing the same? Extremely doubtful.

The second question is: can you reanimate a zombie? Where reanimate means teach and zombie means user without critical thinking skills.

If you want to suck, then I'd recommend carefully studying that list of fallacies and figuring out ways to use those fallacies in your arguments.

Or just copy Voice of Reason, whichever.
