Creationism vs. Evolutionism
Hey,I'd like to debate Young Earth Creationism and evolutionism. I'd probably prefer it in the formal open debate section as my schedule is not exactly conducive to the sort of time constraints of a regular formal debate.
I'd argue for Young Earth Creationism. |

In that case, I suggest you go for it. You don't need an official opponent for Formal Open

THAT is why I would bother in the formal. |

As a suggestion, how about you and your opponent set it up similar to the past formal debates done here - whatever word limits or time limits you want - only with no judges or moderator (just moderate yourselves) and when you’re done, there could be a new thread with a poll, for readers to vote on who they believe won, (the poll should show the names of who voted which way) and could have their comments too. The recent presidential /vice presidential debates inspired this idea for me. It seems like it’s always the same story, each side thinks their candidate “won”. A poll showing how each person voted would probably have the same result here, but could still be very interesting. Thoughts? I'd suggest our usual 5/4 post structure, and try to keep the time and word limits as short as possible to make it more readable.

Nor is "Science" whatever you want it to mean. Unilateral redefining of words is not part of the accepted English language.
