Took me a little while, I've finally tracked down a reputable site for this story:
BBC NEWS | World | Americas | Marchers block Mexico-US border
It seems that claiming the protestors are supporting the drug cartels is a little far fetched, they just object, as any sane civilian would, to the army being used for law enforcement and abusing civilians. In the US such deployment is prohibited (Posse Comitatus act is it?) and in the UK we've had some bad experiences along this sort of line in Ulster. I'm curious to know what the real story is with the Texas guard, I wonder if there isn't a little partisan politics being played with the situation.

I am not supprised that Mexico would use it's military in this manner. I would think that with a volital situation like this it would be in the best interest of the US to have troops on that border just incase it spills over on to our soil. If nothing else to give the civilians a safe haven with the protection our troops would provide them from the Mexican miltary who have in the past haven't respected our borders.

Barack Hussein Obama doesn't give a chit about the problem we have with Mexico. Every new voter is welcomed to his fold.

Exactly so, and more power to him and them.

Do you have an issue with "new voters"?

After all, they are citizens with the same right to vote as you and I.

What we have a problem with is illegals getting to vote in american elections since it's, you know, illegal!!! Sadly that fact doesn't seem to bother you at all as long as they vote for your guy. Are you aware that Mexico, a third world abomination of political corruption requires every citizen to produce a photo ID before being allowed to vote?

Yet it's the democrats who have fought this same requirement tooth and nail here as it would prevent them from carrying out their agenda of voter fraud which is necessary for holding legitimate, valid and trustworthy elections? I'll bet dollars to donuts that's just fine with you since winning is all that matters to you. A fair and legitimate democratic process means nothing to you as long as your side wins.
