Of course.

Obviously, prostitution should be legal and prostitutes should have certain protections under the law against the violence that sometimes is directed against them.

They should also be subjected to routine health checks and be somewhat regulated by the laws of the area in which they practice their trade.

I pretty much agree with what was said above. Yes it should be legal, but at the same time reasonable restrictions should be placed. I feel the same way towards drugs.

Whay would be even better from a Governmental point of view is that they could be taxed.

I would legalize it, but not tax it or otherwise regulate it.
