I think Matthew's point is that some of the anti-gay propoganda has the same ugly ring. And he is right.

I understand what he's saying, he just has an ugly habbit of exagerating a little and making the rest of his posts (with a lot of substance and fact to them) a little less credible. He tends to make sweeping generalizations about Republicans like this, and despite popular belief, there are a few decent Republicans out there (too bad they're not the ones running for office).

Huh? Name one republican that supports gay rights? I can't find any. Can you? Name one republican senator that voted against D.O.M.A. on sept 10th 1996? You can't they all voted for it. Show me where in the republican party platform http://www.gop.com/media/2004platform.pdf that the republican party endorses gay rights, same sex marriage, or any other gay related topic. Page 83 and 84 says it all and is a slap in the face to all gay families out there. It is not just generalization the party is blatantly anti gay and anyone who signs on to or votes for some one in the republican party is anti gay by default. Is there any republican out there tring to change iether the party, party platform, or they way republicans are viewed by members of the gay community? I can't find one. Can you? Really I would like to know who they are, I don't think they exist. They are all too busy pandering to the religious right in it's evil war against gay people.

Every time one of the Republican presidential candidates speak all I hear is the sound of the marching boots of the Brown shirts.

I did read do your post. Do you have any names of these Republicans? Even one example. I can not find even one republican elected official that supports gay rights. We can take this to another thread if you wish

    Actually

Homophobia(hatred of gays) and color prejudice are very similar. Most people who hate gays usually have problems with other people too.

If they are an elected official, that means they ran for office. I'm talking about people I personally know, not politicians. That's why I said "too bad they're not running for office".

Unless you are trying to say gays all share a physical charactaristic, they are simply not a race.
