I favour data gathering and prevention far over penalizing, so I'm generally in favour of such measures.
Of course, it'd be about time we stopped overpanicking about airline security. The security measures are already exceeding reasonable measures.
How are people feeling about the new airport security measures?

Transportation Security Administration or Testicle Searchers of America?
Please let it be known, if you support these measures, if you and your loved ones will be preferring the X-Ray Machina or the Big Feel.
(Personally, to me, it's not worth a trip to Hawaii.)

When you hve the ex head of security of El Al come on national television and say that these measures are unnecessary and rediculous...I would say something is wrong.

Would you prefer being interviewed at a roadblock before being allowed entry to the airport, then another before being allowed to board the plane? Imagine the queues and frustration attending to that!
The level of prudishness in a society which uses sex to sell almost everything is baffling.

Obama Gives a Pass: TSA Won’t Touch Muslims’ Junk | Floyd Reports
So muslims get to be exempt from the terrorist screening at airports. And yet muslims are the ones that brought about this whole security boondoggle.Thirty-one-year-old John Tyner, a 31-year-old recently unleashed the “Don’t tase me, Bro” moment of airport security. While about to receive a genital check from TSA security, Tyner agreed to a search of non-intimate areas but said, “If you touch my junk, I’ll have you arrested.” However, Muslim women will not have to face such worries. CNSNews.com has reported that Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) — which is frequently tied to domestic terror plots — has been guaranteed that TSA officials will only pat down Muslim women in the head and neck area.
CAIR said Muslims who object to full-body scans for religious reasons should know their rights if they are required to undergo a pat-down, including asking for the procedure to be done in a private place. In addition, CAIR offered a “special recommendation” for Muslim women who wear a hijab, telling them they should tell the TSA officer that they may be searched only around the head and neck.
“Before you are patted down, you should remind the TSA officer that they are only supposed to pat down the area in question, in this scenario, your head and neck. They SHOULD NOT subject you to a full-body or partial-body pat-down.”
Muslim women will likely opt for the not-very-invasive security pat-down, because most consider airports’ high-image body scans a violation of Islamic Shari’a law. CNS News adds, “In February, the Figh Council of North America, a group of Islamic scholars, issued a fatwa, or religious ruling, that full-body scanners violate Islamic law.”
So, Muslim women will not be subject to a full body scan or a pat-down on much of their elaborately concealed bodies. Feeling secure yet?
Add this to the growing proof that political correctness is not merely totalitarian but suicidal. The president made an exception to airline security protocol big enough to drive a jihad through — and applied it only to the adherents of Islam. Roman Catholic nuns can be groped en masse, but Obama rushed to defend the dignity of Muslim women.
Luckily, Muslim terrorists have no history of using female suicide bombers or hiding explosives in their underwear.
Consider this just another reason why one-in-four Americans believe Obama is a Muslim.

I swear the terrorists are probably giggling till they pee over this riddikerousness.

"The Transportation Security Administration apologized to a bladder cancer survivor whose urostomy bag opened during an airport security patdown, covering him with urine, a spokeswoman said on Tuesday.
Sawyer was headed to Orlando, Florida, when a security screening machine at Detroit Metro Airport noticed the bag that collects his urine. Sawyer's bladder was removed as part of his cancer treatment.
A TSA agent began patting him down and ignored Sawyer's warnings that his urostomy bag could open if handled roughly, Sawyer has said. The seal of the bag came undone, and urine spilled over his shirt and trousers, he said."
More good work from the Transport Molestation department. It's particularly encouraging that convicted sex offenders are allowed to work in a role which has them feeling up little boys.

No NATO, this is an outright lie.
Just because CAIR provided these recommendations, does not mean that this is TSA policy. The TSA website clearly states that all passengers must be subject to these enhanced procedures, and those wearing loose or baggy (such as burkas) clothing may be subject to additional screening. It also clearly states that those wearing headware, whether religious are not, may be required to submit to additional screening to examine the headware and determine that no threat is present. The article you posted does a nice job of twisting and mixing words to create it's own "facts".
All passengers (nicluding muslim women in religious garb) are subject to the same standards of security.
While I think that these security procedures are essentially worthless, it does seem that they are being implemented fairly across the board.

IF you click through to the CAIR site, even IT does not really say what the article claims. The CAIR site says they should ask if they are being singled out for screening because of their head scarf and if the TSA agent is actually stupid enough to say "yes" they are supposed to say that they can only check the headscarf because it is the "suspicious" area.
Tongue in cheek and more than a little stupid.

What I like even more is that the article is titled "Obama Gives a Pass...". Notice how the article never even mentions Obama.
So I go and look on FNC's website to see if perhaps I missed something. Turns out, even FNC isn't propogating this stuff...which is how you know that it must be complete and total garbage.

The real irony in this storm in a teacup is that those being patted down are volunteering for it to avoid being scanned. The person viewing the scans never sees the actual person, just the fuzzy image, and the radiation level is less than they will be exposed to anyway by flying at 30,000 feet! Keeping the fear alive!
