Unless, of course, his plans were based on the idea that his followers were not a bunch of evil people who would stand around and do nothing while millions of babies are killed. In that case, the free will of his followers, their choice to be evil, pretty much screwed him.

Surely, someone with degrees in both theology and science would have run across the problem of free will and determinism at some point.

I love arguements based on religion. Their whole premise is based on something they cannot even establish even exist. Then their argument fails, they'll try and scare you into submitting to the absurd. The icing on the cake is that they don't even have to own up to their actions. I have no idea if there is a supreme being or not. No one knows. I am however sure that the Bible cannot possibly be the word of an all-knowing, all-powerful, all-good being.
